Guniting

High-Strength Concrete Repair & Slope Stabilization for Long-Lasting Protection

When structures or surfaces suffer from erosion, cracks, or water damage, guniting (also known as shotcrete) provides a durable and cost-effective solution. At PCES, we offer professional guniting services for structural repairs, waterproofing, and slope stabilization — delivering fast, reliable results using advanced equipment and skilled applicators.

What is Guniting?

Guniting is the process of applying a dry-mix concrete (shotcrete) at high velocity through a hose onto a surface, typically reinforced with steel mesh or rebar. The compressed air ensures strong compaction and adhesion, making it ideal for restoring damaged concrete and stabilizing slopes or embankments.

Why Choose PCES?

  • Experienced Shotcrete Applicators
Our team is trained in both structural and non-structural guniting applications.

  • High-Quality Materials & Equipment
We use premium-grade cementitious mixes and modern shotcrete machines for consistent results.

  • Versatile Applications
Suitable for vertical, overhead, irregular, or hard-to-access surfaces.

  • Quick Application & Reduced Labor
Faster than traditional concrete placement, with less formwork required.

  • Durable & Long-Lasting Finish
High compaction ensures strong bonding and excellent resistance to weathering and erosion.

Where Guniting is Used

  • ✅ Retaining Walls & Embankments

  • ✅ Basement & Foundation Repairs

  • ✅ Water Tanks & Reservoirs

  • ✅ Swimming Pools

  • ✅ Tunnels & Culverts

  • ✅ Dam & Canal Linings

  • ✅ Slopes, Cliffs & Soil Stabilization

  • ✅ Concrete Column & Beam Repair

Our Guniting Process

  1. Surface Preparation
Cleaning, scaling, and roughening of the existing surface. Reinforcement (like mesh or rebar) is fixed as needed.

  2. Material Mixing
A dry concrete mix is prepared with controlled water addition at the nozzle.

  3. High-Pressure Application
The mixture is sprayed at high speed using a nozzle and compressed air, ensuring firm adhesion and compaction.

  4. Finishing & Curing
The surface is finished as per project requirements and cured to achieve maximum strength.
